Eves Laurent
Eves Laurent released De Stem van MERLOT: 28 tracks, no label deal, just the voice. We built him a site that plays like one of his clips — a single continuous shot you control with your scroll, from a sunny villa to a wine-red cellar.

01 · The idea
A clip you scroll through
An artist site usually is a poster with links. We wanted the album to be felt first: the name splits open, the villa footage pushes in to Eves by the fire, the world tints merlot-red, and the title of the record types itself in. Every step is tied to your scroll, so you set the pace.
02 · The technique
Frame-locked video, no stutter
Scrubbing a video with scroll normally stutters, because browsers seek slowly. So the hero is decoded up front into a bank of stills with WebCodecs and drawn frame by frame — locked to your scroll position. On phones the clip plays from memory instead, which is just as smooth and far lighter.
Two soundtrack stems fade into each other across the split, with a sound toggle and a volume slider in the site's chrome. Click a track and a 30-second preview plays while the stems duck to silence.

03 · The album
28 tracks rolling like credits
The record itself is the finale: the real cover next to the full tracklist rolling past with your scroll, the middle track highlighted, the title track in red. Below it, three TikTok snippets fan out as phone cards that open in a lightbox with sound, and the outro links to Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
