Case study · 2026
SleepOutlet
A mattress maker on the Belgian coast that has been making its own mattresses since 2010, with a shop in Middelkerke since 2016. The old site came out of a website builder. Now there is a web shop in four languages where you draw your made-to-measure mattress yourself and see the price straight away.

Before and after
Same shop. A different site.
Drag the line. On the left the old site from the website builder, on the right what we built. Same page, same screen size.

01 · The challenge
A maker of every shape, behind a template
SleepOutlet makes mattresses in any shape: for the bedroom, but also for campervans, caravans and boats. The old site was built in a website builder and barely showed that. Anyone looking for a made-to-measure mattress read some explanation and then had to call or send a WhatsApp: entering your own measurements or seeing a price was not possible.
The site was Dutch only, while the coast gets plenty of French- and German-speaking visitors. The sitemap still listed empty demo pages from the template, and the phone link had a mistake in the number.
02 · The approach
Draw your mattress, see your price
We designed the site from scratch in the style of a technical drawing: lots of white, thin lines, navy and the red from the logo. At its heart is the configurator. Pick one of eleven shapes, enter your measurements to the half centimetre and your mattress is drawn to scale, with the price next to it. Special shapes go to the shop as a quote request, photos included.
On the homepage a short model finder asks how you sleep and points you to the right mattress. The four models are compared with a cross-section of their layers.

03 · The web shop
Order and pay, made to measure too
Standard mattresses, made-to-measure mattresses and box springs all go into the basket. Customers pay online through Mollie with Bancontact, KBC/CBC, Belfius or iDEAL, in full or with a deposit.
You put a box spring together yourself: size, headboard and fabric, with a discount when you add a mattress. Every order, quote request and appointment reaches the shop straight away, by email and on Telegram.

04 · The result
Findable along the whole coast
Every page exists in Dutch, French, German and English, each with its own URLs and the right language tags for Google. The 60 towns within 50 km of the showroom each got their own page, with the distance to the shop and the delivery price.
The old addresses redirect to the new pages, so existing links keep working. The site has been live on sleepoutletmiddelkerke.be since 21 October 2026.
